Not The Same As Last Year

Sorry, But Once A Cunt, Never A Gunner!

What do Kolo Toure, Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri and Robin Van Persie have in common?

Yes they have all played for Arsenal, but you will notice that Whereas Van Persie and Nasri are cunts, Toure and Clichy are not. Van Persie is a cunt in words and in deed or lack thereof while Nasri is a cunt indeed.

Clichy and Toure left the club amicably, albeit for more money. They did not make acidic statements to make their position at the club untenable. You know, the more I reflect on what Robin Van Persie did, the more I realise that it was a cold, calculated, selfish statement to force his way out of Arsenal. It was totally uncalled for. Just because Arsenal cannot put as much ambition in your bank account like some other clubs can  doesn't mean we lack ambition. Cunt! I really thought he was different and a true Arsenal Fan. Ahh well... ONCE A CUNT, NEVER A GUNNER!

The football has started once again. Yesterday Arsenal played Malaysia XI and won 2-1 (hooray!!). But honestly one cannot read anything into that game as it is only a fitness exercise. Most of these players have been away on holiday, eating pie, drinking rum, having lots of sex with female fans, their girlfriends, their team-mates' girlfriends and lastly their wives.

And whereas  our club captain continues to be a cunt, it is not the same as last year. This year we have already signed two International Strikers for the one who is being a cunt. So it is not the same.

Rumours are gathering pace that we are about to sign Spanish Winger Santi Carzola from Malaga who are in serious financial sewage. Their sugar daddy, a certain Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al-Thani seems to have reached the bottom of his bottomless well. I don't know much about Carzola, except for the brief highlights I have seen of him on La Liga reviews or while playing for Spain, but if we signed him, I think it would be a very good signing indeed.

Arsene Wenger insists that our Midfield is sufficient, what with Diaby and Wilshere to return. But after seeing  Diaby fail to remain fit year after year, and Wilshere missing the whole of last season, I wouldn't bet on the two of them to be ever-present this term. Or maybe Diaby will have a stellar season, make 50 appearances for the club in all competitions, score 20 goals and then demand an exit from Arsenal on the grounds that the club lacks ambition...

I really think that we need to make a signing in midfield. Particularly a creative midfielder because Rosicky, is past his best and injury prone. Aaron Ramsey is more of a workhorse than a creative player. Arteta is a continuity player, much like that brilliant little Catalan cunt, Xavi of Barcelona. Santi Carzola, a player who is good on both wings and in the centre would be a very welcome and much needed addition.

I really want to see Abou Diaby make it at Arsenal because when he is fit, he is just immense. But honestly, he is always a minute away from a long-term injury everytime he plays. But wait, there is hope. Did not a certain Robin Van Cuntsie Persie come through his injury problems, have 1 stellar season and then demand that he wanted out because Arsenal are not putting enough ambition in his bank account?

In other good news, Laurent Koscielny has signed a new long-term contract with the club. Now that wasn't so hard Mr. Theo Walcott surely was it?

Come on you gooners!!

Time For Arsenal To Stand Up

We are The Arsenal!
So we should expect Abou Diaby, who has been injury prone (after being hacked by some cunt!) to have 1 stellar season then declare that Arsenal lack ambition and demand a transfer... honestly, I expected better from Robin Van Persie.

I  was shocked when Robin Van Persie released his update for the fans via twitter on his official website. What shocked me was the manner of the announcement and the tone of it. It was a declaration of war against Arsenal- uncalled for war. A lot has been said about Van Persie's injury record, his troubled early days and how Arsenal and Arsene Wenger particularly stood by him and made him the player he is today.

I was not shocked however, when Red & White seized the opportunity to gain some political mileage with the fanbase by sending an Open Letter To The Board of Arsenal. Any sane human being should know bullshit when they see it. I did.

I saw bullshit when Robin Van Persie released his so-called update. I saw bullshit when Red & White released their so-called open letter to the Board of Arsenal. The two incidents have worked to undermine Arsenal FC. Robin saying that the club lacks ambition is an insult that is not founded. Equally, Red & white talking about matching the salaries of Super Clubs in order to compete, without burdening the club with debt is a crock of shit.

Let us look at Montpellier, the current French League 1 Champions. They had Olivier Giroud (latest Arsenal signing) in their strike force. The entire Montpellier team's, compared to the likes of Paris Saint Germain, Marseille, Lille, Bordeaux would be the Barclays Premier League Equivalent of  Wigan Athletic winning the League. And we all saw Wigan last term beat the top teams hands down because their team had desire and they worked hard.

Let us also consider Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. They have won the league for two consecutive season now but they have not invested the economy of an African country in winning the league. They simply have a complete team that works hard for each other to win. I could pull up several other examples but I'm sure you get the picture.

So when an Arsenal player leaves Arsenal because they "lack ambition", wouldn't it be nice to see them end up at Montpellier or at Borussia Dortmund...? Clearly those teams have ambition, whereas Arsenal doesn't? I honestly would like to see Robin Van Persie go to Montpellier. Then I will believe that Arsenal lack ambition.

But the truth, dear Arsenal fans, is that it's the money. It's all about the money. As Arsenal fans, we accept that our team could win the League if we signed 2-3 good players. We have been saying this for several seasons that this team felt 2-3 good players away from winning the League title.

I still feel the same way today. We have signed two very decent strikers in Podolski and Giroud. I feel we need two more good signings in Midfield and this team will be compete geneuinely for the title.

I must also point out that there is a difference between winning and competiting for the title. I would be very happy and content coming 3rd or second in the league if we genuinely were competitive over the course of the season. What courses most Arsenal fans grief is our lack of competitiveness over the course of a season. And this is all about the quality of players we have in the team, not the price or salaries of said players.

To suggest that the financial model (self-sustaining model) of Arsenal is the problem is bullshit. Just ask Rangers FC. And especially when we have a manager like Arsene Wenger who continues to churn out good teams year after year, you cannot honestly say that Arsenal lack ambition. Arsenal lack 2-3 very good first team players every year to become competitive. If this time around we go and buy two very good midfield players, 1 attacking and 1 holding, I believe we shall genuinely challenge for the title.

Also we clearly need to move on some squad players and replace them with decent squad players who can do a job when called upon. Not easy, I know, but it has got to be done. We carry too many passengers in our squad and that is ultimately hurting us.

Now is the time to put things right. The Arsenal Board and Arsene Wenger need act: get the 2 players we need to make the team competitive. Forget getting into a mud slinging contest with R & W. This is an opportunity to go out there, buy the players we need and start preparing for the league. And if Theo Walcott doesn't sign  a new deal, then we should sign 3 more players instead of only 2 midfielders.

Failure to address the obvious deficit in our squad strength adds credibility to the bullshit being slung by Robin Van Persie and R&W. Perhaps we need to become a bit more ruthless with our players and move them on quick if they don't perform for whatever reason.

There is no guarantee of loyalty or decency after all.

We are the Arsenal! Let the canon start firing!

Van Persie Continues Arsenal Captains' Exodus

Except from an article on Friday 6 August 2010 on the Arsenal Official website:

Van Persie - I believe in this Arsenal team

...An ankle ligament injury sidelined the Dutchman for five months last term and he wants to make amends in 2010/11. Van Persie has pledged to win a trophy to repay the fans for their support and reward the team for its style of football.
"I have never stopped believing in Arsenal," said Van Persie. "I love this club, this is my seventh year now. Arsenal gave me a chance to develop into a good player and I want to repay the Club and the fans and everyone with trophies.
"I love the way of thinking at Arsenal, the way of playing really stands out. I know two teams who play similar football; they are us and Barcelona. Some teams are trying but not really coming close. I speak to colleagues in the national team from different big teams which have a different way of thinking.
"But I prefer our way of thinking, very much. That's why I believe and I don't stop believing when things go against us."

I could go on and search the archives for some more quotes from Van Persie, professing his love for Arsenal and all things Arsenal...

It therefore becomes very difficult to reconcile these statements from a couple of years ago with the statement that Van Persie released on his Official website.

The club have released a statement of their own, which leaves one to conclude that there will be only 1 outcome: Van Persie has forced his way out of the club and the club will duly sell him to the highest bidder.

When players come out and talk about a lack of ambition on the part of the club, you wonder what they are talking about. What is ambition? How does a club lack it? What constitutes having ambition and what constitutes the lack thereof?

And players are always quick to stick the knife in by saying that they "want to win trophies" and that's the excuse. Well, it's easy to win trophies by joining the sugar daddy teams for sure. Hell, even Francis Jeffers would be a medal winner if he were on the books of Manchester City. Why? because those clubs are spending way more on, admittedly, good players than the prize money of competitions for which they are competing.

Now, think about that seriously for a minute. A club spends £400 Million on players to win a trophy worth £40 Million. Is there any sense in that? And where is the pride and sense of achievement? Running off to join a collection of top players, whose only common interest is ridiculous wages for the so-called purpose of winning trophies is not honourable. It is a cowards way out.

I hate Barcelona, but I can tolerate them because they actually develop their own players and augment them with quality signings. I hate clubs like Chelsea and especially Manchester City because quite honestly, they are the devil. Their business models are not business models at all. They are not sustainable and honestly not good for the future of sport.

So when players profess their love for Arsenal and the Arsenal way one day and then run off to join City or such clubs the next in the name of ambition and wanting to win trophies, all I can say is that I wish them well. I will not call them cowards or cunts. That is because on the one hand, they are right. Arsenal is not winning trophies. But Arsenal is not winning trophies because they happen to be playing for Arsenal.

I say let them go. Let them be the cowards that they are and run off to be bent over and used by the sugar daddies in their game of winning trophies at all costs. Let them go and line their pockets with as much cash as they can and pick up some trophies along the way. Those oil dollars will not be there forever.

Meanwhile, let me thank Arsenal FC for what they are trying to do. Let me also thank Arsene Wenger for his philosophy and trying to win the right way. Yes, I lose patience with him sometimes and occassionally call for his head when I think he has lost the plot, but he still remains a true gentleman.

Arsene Wenger and Arsenal stand by their players through thick and thin. In 8 years at Arsenal, Van Persie only played 1 full season. The club paid for his wages, the fans stuck by him through injury after injury. And when the club now needs him to be there for it, to help it win the trophies that he was promising the fans just as early back as Friday 6 August 2010, he stands up and says the club lacks ambition.

I am very sad for Van Persie. While I understand his frustration at not winning, I can't help feel that he is nothing but just another coward looking for the easy way to winning trophies.

Thank you very much Robin for the memories. But Arsenal FC will move on and we shall become better without you. You may win a few trophies in the near future, but Arsenal FC will win many more trophies in the future, even after you are gone.

I am happy that we can go into pre-season training knowing the status of our so-called star players. I would prefer that we sell any player who is stalling on signing a contract with the club because honestly, Arsenal FC deserved much better from you Mr. Van persie.

Goodbye and Good luck to you Mr. Robin Van Persie.

Now let's focus on the future.
